The grape in Pouilly-Fuissé is 100% Chardonnay. Pouilly-Fuissé wines are typically appley, slightly minerally (flinty) and often honeyed in aroma.

There is often oak used in its production, which is noticeable on the nose and palate. The wines are generally medium to full-bodied and have a propensity to age for 5 years plus, if stored correctly.
The style is often described as being too fashionable to be consistent in style, so use the above information as a mere indicator.
Perfect with mild, creamy cheeses, mild, creamy Indian dishes (korma’s and makhni’s) and with richer shellfish and other seafood.
Good producers available in India include Faiveley and Louis Latour. Louis Jadot also makes wine from this area.
