Sommelier India renews its partnership with the country’s leading international trade fair for wine, spirits and the wider beverage industry.
ProWine Mumbai will return to the Jio World Convention Centre on 18 and 19 November 2026, bringing together producers, importers, distributors, hospitality professionals, sommeliers, bartenders and beverage leaders from India and around the world.
Sommelier India is delighted to partner with ProWine Mumbai once again. The renewed association reflects our shared commitment to supporting India’s wine and beverage community through greater knowledge, stronger professional connections and meaningful engagement with producers from established and emerging regions.
Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf India and All Things Nice, ProWine Mumbai has developed into an important annual meeting place for India’s rapidly evolving beverage sector. The 2025 edition brought together 213 exhibitors, representation from 21 countries and more than 1,000 labels, demonstrating both the international interest in India and the growing ambition of the domestic market.
The 2026 edition will extend well beyond the traditional exhibition format. Alongside Indian and international wine and spirits producers, visitors can expect to encounter beers, craft beverages, meads, ciders, cocktails, ready-to-drink products, premium mixers and a growing range of zero-proof and low-alcohol alternatives. Glassware, bar equipment, packaging, technology, logistics and other services supporting the beverage trade will also be represented.
This breadth is increasingly relevant. India’s beverage culture is no longer developing along a single path. Interest in wine continues to deepen, while premium spirits, cocktails, craft production and more considered approaches to drinking are creating new occasions and attracting new audiences. For members of the trade, understanding how these categories intersect is becoming as important as expertise within any one of them.
Two dedicated areas will bring some of these shifts into sharper focus. ProSpirits will offer tastings, cocktail innovation and insight into the trends shaping India’s spirits culture. ProWine Zero will spotlight zero-proof, low-alcohol and functional beverages, connecting producers with importers, hospitality operators and retailers as mindful consumption becomes a more visible part of the market.
Education will remain central to the event. A curated programme of masterclasses and panel discussions will give visitors opportunities to explore producing regions, grape varieties, beverage styles, consumer behaviour and wider industry trends. The exhibition floor will complement these sessions by providing direct access to producers and labels, allowing attendees to move easily between learning, tasting and commercial conversation.
The programme will also include the ProWine & ProSpirits Challenge, the ProWine Bartenders’ Competition, ProWine Connect and ProWine Mumbai Night. The latter will combine industry recognition, the announcement of competition winners and a gala networking evening. On the second day, six finalists will compete live in the bartenders’ competition, with the winner receiving a cash prize and the opportunity to take over an international bar for one night.
Mumbai remains a natural setting for the event. The city is home to many of India’s leading importers, distributors, retailers, producers and hospitality businesses. Its proximity to Nashik, the country’s largest wine-producing region, and its position as one of India’s most influential markets for dining, nightlife and premium consumption make it an important gateway for brands seeking to understand and participate in the Indian market.
For producers, ProWine Mumbai offers an opportunity to introduce new labels, meet decision-makers and build relationships across the trade. For sommeliers, buyers, restaurateurs, hoteliers and other beverage professionals, it provides a concentrated view of the products, ideas and people influencing what India will drink next.
As ProWine Mumbai prepares for its 2026 edition, Sommelier India looks forward to supporting the event once again and bringing our readers closer to the conversations, discoveries and personalities shaping India’s wine and beverage future.
