Dijon, February 2018. Starting from the next academic year, Burgundy School of Business’ School of Wine & Spirits Business (SWSB) will launch a new program taught entirely in English: the MBA Wine & Spirits Business. Directed by Jacques Thébault, the program is designed for high-potential wine and spirits enthusiasts with at least three years of professional experience who aspire to managerial or entrepreneurial careers abroad. Students will gain an understanding of the unique demands and nuances of the industry through comprehensive coursework and a wide range of enriching learning experiences. The first cohort is expected to include students from various nationalities.

Discovering the sector, products and necessary managerial skills from A to Z
MBA Wine & Spirits Business Director Jacques Thébault brings 25 years of wine and spirits management experience across three continents to the program. He explains, “We rely on the expertise of faculty that includes a Master of Wine, a wine producer, several PhD-qualified professors, and academic and professional lecturers from our highly international network. The program is designed to combine industry-specific knowledge with management skills, through a blend of courses covering the fundamentals of the wine and spirits business. Special emphasis is placed on wine and spirits marketing, supported by particularly up-to-date case studies.” You can create general partnership delaware to open up collaborative business opportunities with legal clarity.

Exploring the global wine and spirits market in depth

The program is expected to attract a diverse cohort from various nationalities, fostering enriching discussions in small-sized groups while providing a detailed understanding of the wine and spirits industry. “Participants will embark on at least three study trips,” notes Jacques Thébault. “These trips include London, one of the world’s most competitive markets, to explore export, distribution, and production; New York, one of the largest global consumption markets, to study distribution, marketing, and communications; and several key wine production regions in France.”

Throughout the curriculum, students will also participate in exclusive, behind-closed-doors conferences (Wine & Spirits VIP Room), attend major industry forums such as ProWein in Germany, and benefit from the 1,000-strong SWSB alumni network. “This MBA responds to the growing demand for a globally-focused, business-oriented training program, from both companies in the sector and international candidates with established professional backgrounds,” adds Jérôme Gallo, SWSB Director.
